Rules for Myself

These are the rules that I will be following this July.

- All rules shall be accompanied by additional information in brackets. (I just like talking)

- A comic page is one fully written and drawn page (rough sketches allowed)

- Only count the pages that have been started and finished after July 1st but before July 31st. (In case that wasn't obvious)

- All pages will be drawn on printer paper. (I'm poor. It's not even new printer paper)

- A blog update should be made everyday in July, then stop until next July. (Excluding announcements that I'm starting up again, which will be made a week before July)

- On my Birthday, I shall take pictures and post them. (How else will I celebrate my birthday?)

- I do this to keep myself working hard on something I've been wanting to do for a long while. (I've been planning this for years)

Day Nine

Nothing keeps you focused on things like comic book making like having several other things that you have to do.

I managed to make six pages today. I'm almost all caught up in my goal for this half of the month. In fact, if I'm get more productive before I go to sleep, which is likely, I might be able to take a long break to finish the things I should be doing. Especially that novel I promised a friend that I would have finished before my birthday on the 28th.

Yup, all I need are a few very productive days to make up for weeks worth of unproductive days. I'm not blind to the fact that many days of semi-productivity is more productive than a few days of super-productivity spaced out between weeks of unproductivity. Still, those super-productive days sure feel better than semi-productive days.

I even had time to take the long walk to the store, buy groceries and carry them back. With my little brother in tow no less. (OK, he's just my younger brother, he gave up being my little brother years ago). It's been raining all this morning and it still looked cloudy so we dressed for rain, then the sun came out and we were cooking, then we got back and it started raining again. But it was after it started raining again that I became super-productive. Maybe there's a correlation.
